Campus Profile:The Hillel center at the Interdisciplinary Center (IDC) Herzliya opened in January 2006, offering Jewish programming and extracurricular activities to the 3000 undergraduate and graduate students studying on the IDC Herzliya campus."The Hillel program on the IDC campus enriches the lives of students with meaningful Jewish experiences that will in turn enrich their lives, the Jewish people, and the world," explains IDC Herzliya Hillel Director Ishai Ashkenazi. "Hillel offers Israeli and overseas students the opportunity to explore and celebrate their Jewish heritage in ways that are appealing to them so that they can make their own choices about how Judaism fits into their lives." Ishai, who received his BA from IDC Herzliya, works closely with the IDC administration to encourage student participation in Hillel.
