Campus Profile:Jewish campus life at SDSU is strong and growing. Hillel and the Jewish Student Union (Award-Winning Student Organization of the Year for 2004-2005; SDSU Student Organization Diversity Award 2010) have created a welcoming and active community that provides opportunities for students to connect almost daily. Whether it`s a BBQ, coffee hour and Israel discussion in Starbuck`s, bagels on campus, Wednesday night happenings, Women of Hillel or Gever events, Freshman dinners, B`nai Mitzvah class, Jewish learning, etc, etc., students can find their place. Bi-weekly Shabbat services and dinners and holiday programs bring the community together. Special events such as Alternative Spring Break trips to do community service, annual Mitzvah Day, Yom Haatzmaut celebrations on campus and Seder in the Desert involve enthusiastic students in this warm and welcoming community.
