Campus Profile:Jewish life at Stanford has grown tremendously in recent years, in part inspired by the completion of a gorgeous 2-building facility in 2008. Hillel involves a diverse array of Jewish students who identify in very different ways - whether through religious expression, social action, social programs, educational interests, leadership programs, alternative spring break trips, Israel issues, Yiddish culture, or other. The Jewish Students Association student board is a strong presence, and includes and executive board and numerous other positions that enable students to shape Jewish campus life. There are about a dozen Jewish groups in total that are connected to Hillel. Hillel`s facility is open to the entire campus community, so students from all backgrounds can be found regularly at Hillel.
