Campus Profile:Jewish student leadership is provided by the Student Board and members of the Hillel Student Club, our registered campus student group. We work together to plan and create activities for everyone and for every interest, including: road trips, informal get-togethers, guest speakers, coffee house nights and major campus events like Strawberry Fest! We also work with other campus groups and clubs to co-sponsor events. Come and meet the great undergraduate students who have been elected to the Jewish student voice at Stony Brook. Help plan programs and events by and for student and let your voice be heard on our campus! Student Board meetings are held bi-weekly. The Snyder Hillel Center houses our staff offices, lounge and study areas with internet access for students, Jewish Multi-Media Resource Center, Hillel Library and the Jewish Heritage Video Library. Stop by anytime to play a game of foosball, watch a video, have a snack, hang out with friends - or make new ones - Our House is Your House! Organized Jewish life on campus dates back to 1964 and has always been led by strong student involvement through the Hillel Student Club and the Council on Jewish Student Organizations. The Hillel Foundation for Jewish Life is the Jewish Chaplaincy and member association of the University Interfaith Center. The Hillel Foundation provides support, funding, and professional guidance throught its staff and Board of Directors. The Foundation`s Board of Directors include faculty, staff, alumni, member of the local community, and students.
