Campus Profile:Jewish life at Swarthmore features opportunities for religious, cultural and intellectual engagement with Judaism. Activities last academic year included a performance by an African-American Jewish Soul Choir, a musical jam and sleep-out in the Sukkah, a Purim party, a study group on liturgy skills, a Hebrew discussion group, Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur services, a workshop on Jewish meditation, a traditional and an environmentally themed seder, a havdallah bonfire, the annual Latke-Hamentaschen debate and more. Life at Swarthmore is intellectually intense and rigorous. The community is warm and welcoming, and open to students from all varieties of Jewish background.
