Campus Profile:Santa Barbara Hillel is one of the strongest Hillels in the country with an active student board complimented by a supportive community board. In our commitment to Jewish Pluralism and Inclusively, we hold three simultaneous Shabbat Evening services (Reform, Conservative, and Orthodox), run a Kosher kitchen where 150-200 students join together for a Shabbat meal each week, as well as sponsor a diverse calendar of programs and events. In our commitment to Social Activism, we reside in a "Green" (energy efficient and environmentally friendly) building, and use local produce when possible. In our commitment to Israel, we work closely with ASI (American Students for Israel) to advocate for Israel, as well as educate about and celebrate Israelâs culture and heritage within the campus and greater Santa Barbara community. Santa Barbara Hillel serves both UCSB and SBCC from our beautiful building in Isla Vista.
