Campus Profile:The University of Oklahoma has a very active Jewish community, with many opportunities for students to get involved socially, culturally, educationally, or religiously. In addition to Shabbat and holiday programming, we offer strong Israel programming, and have an active Sooners for Israel group on campus - our Israel Block Party, a celebration of Israel`s independence and culture, is one of the highlights at OU. Immersion experiences are an important offering of OU Hillel - we have Taglit - Birthright Israel trips, as well as Alternative Spring Break trips. We also have an AEPi fraternity on campus, as well as women`s programming at Hillel. The Judaic Studies program is competitve and offers many scholarship opportunities for students interested in majoring or minoring in Judaic Studies or Hebrew, as well as for travel to Israel. OU is a great place to be Jewish!
