While many college students were off relaxing on their spring breaks, 1,200 Hillel students were not. They instead chose to give back to communities that need a helping hand. The following story contains five multimedia slideshows featuring students who went on the CEI Alternative Spring Break trip to Tampa, Fla., March 15-22. Watch them here >>

EDITORS COLUMN.

Last month, I traveled with about 70 students to Tampa, Fla., to document them doing homework. That’s right. These students chose to spend their spring break doing homework! It wasn’t the same kind of homework they get from their professors in college, but rather it was homework in the literal sense, fixing up the exteriors of homes in the West Tampa area.

This issue's main story contains five multimedia slideshows featuring students who were on that trip with me in Tampa. To read more about my experiences working with the students on the trip, see my post in the Corner Office blog on Hillel.org.
