Student group Alma Ensemble from Ben-Gurion University of the Negev performs at Hillel dedication ceremony.
Hillel's presence was felt throughout the 2008 General Assembly of the United Jewish Communities in Jerusalem where 300 Jewish student activists proudly wore scarves and invited participants to share their Jewish stories.
On Day One, Hillel inaugurated the Edgar M. Bronfman Hillel Israel Center. In his opening message to the GA, Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert did a shout-out to Hillel. On Day Two, a UJC GA bus was given permission to enter the bomb-threatened town of Sderot to tour the campus of Sapir College, and, later, met with the president of Ben- Gurion University.
On Day Three, Hillel International Board of Governors Chairman Bronfman sponsored an intimate luncheon with Israeli university presidents.
We invite you to review all the week’s activities.

Hillel supporter Bill Berman celebrates his 91st birthday.
