First there was Donald Trump. Now there's Martha Stewart. Next comes ... Hillel of Metro Detroit?
In search of a new image more suited to the times, Hillel of Metro Detroit (HMD) is hosting "The Contest," a six-week reality competition to re-invent this non-profit Jewish campus-based organization that serves more than 1,300 students attending area colleges.
Five-member teams will each be given a $500 budget to complete five tasks relating to updating Hillel's image. They'll be asked to re-do the interior of the facility (using donated furniture), create a new logo, come up with Hillel giveaways, revamp the HMD newsletter and finally reveal the new image.
