Governor Nominates Jewish Student Leader to Join University of Maryland Board of Regents
March 28, 2005Comments (0) | Add | E-mail this to a friendGov. Robert L. Ehrlich Jr. has nominated Joel Willcher to be the next student regent to sit on the University of Maryland Board of Regents - and you can't blame him.
If you were governor, Mr. Willcher is probably just the kind of guy you'd pick, too.
Mr. Willcher, who just turned 21, is a third-year accounting student at the University of Maryland School of Business, College Park, with a 4.0 grade point average. Law school is a definite probability in his future.
In his down time, Mr. Willcher serves as a tour guide on campus, taking prospective students and parents around. He is also involved with the Jewish Leadership Council steering board, which comes up with ideas on how to get more students involved in the local Hillel organization.
