The Manhattan Women’s Philanthropy – Donor Connections group visited Hillel at Hunter College on November 20.

The event, co-chaired by Muriel Goldberg (also a board member of Hillel at Queens College) and Naomi Kronish is part of UJA-Federation of New York's Women's Philanthropy “Mitzvah Month” program.

The program included an overview of UJA-Federation’s over $2mm investment in NY Hillels by Hillel International’s Executive Campus Liaison Mark Weintraub and an opportunity to learn about the engagement program at Hillel at Hunter from student leaders, Executive Director Lisa Pollack and Director of Engagement Rebecca Kaplan. NY Women’s Philanthropy leader Klara Silverstein shared some inspiring stories during the time she was Hillel Student President at Hunter College.

After the formal part of the program, the “Donor’s Connection” members and student leaders prepared care packages to be distributed by Hunter students that evening to the homeless on the streets in New York as part of Hillel at Hunter’s collaboration with “Midnight Run” – a NYC nonprofit dedicated to providing relief to the homeless.
