The Hillel Foundation at Eastern Michigan University played host to a program with Big Brothers and Big Sisters last week. Two on-campus fraternities, Alpha Phi Omega, a national co-ed service fraternity, and Alpha Epsilon Pi, a national Jewish fraternity, also participated in the project.
"We have been working on this since the beginning of school and got a lot of responses in the area," said Jodie Friedman, a member of APO and a member of the Hillel community of Jewish college students.
Hillel wanted to help the Big Brothers and Big Sisters program by offering additional mentoring programs to help the growing demand for mentors for children.
