About Hillel

Hillel. The largest Jewish campus organization in the world, Hillel: The Foundation for Jewish Campus Life provides opportunities for Jewish students at more than 550 colleges and universities to explore and celebrate their Jewish identity through its global network of Hillels on campuses and communities around the world.

Hillel's mission is to enrich the lives of Jewish students so that they may enrich the Jewish people and the world.

Hillel’s vision is of a world where every student is inspired to make an enduring commitment to Jewish life, learning and Israel.

Hillel student leaders, professionals and lay leaders are dedicated to creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for Jewish college students of all backgrounds, where they are encouraged to grow intellectually, spiritually and socially. Hillel teaches students relationship-building skills in a Jewish context and sets the framework for delivering the Jewish future. Our experience over the past 90 years has resulted in a personal, professional and global impact on the future of Jewish peoplehood. Hillel professionals on campus encourage students to pursue tzedek (social justice), tikkun olam (repairing the world)  Jewish learning, and to support Israel and global Jewish peoplehood. Hillel is committed to excellence, innovation, accountability and results.
