After My Taglit-Birthright Israel: Hillel trip

"It’s really important to make sure that a positive message can be spread about Israel."

I was one of those students who almost avoided Hillel. Going to Israel made me realize how much I really do love it and want to advocate for it. I also made a lot of friends and connections on the trip. I wanted to become more involved in supporting Israel when I got back home.

While advocating for Israel is important at any age, I feel like a college campus is almost more significant because it’s a time when people are starting to solidify their beliefs, and figure themselves out. Additionally, I feel like people get very mixed reviews about Israel, so it’s really important to make sure that a positive message can be spread about Israel.
