Over 200 Simmons students, faculty and staff enjoyed Simmons Hillel's fourth annual I Fest: a celebration of Israeli Culture on April 23.
The three hour event featured Information Alley; Greetings From Israel photo booth, Innovative Israel exhibit highlighting agricultural, medical, and technological innovations from Israel; Taste, Touch, Try: table featuring Israeli candies, juices and beauty products; Happy Birthday Israel birthday cake; Jewish Women's Archive's Women of Valor exhibit; Hasbara's Think Green, Think Blue exhibit & "snack and facts"; Dig in the Negev game; a Falafel Stand & Bedouin Tent; Cookie Decorating; Did You Know?: creative and fun facts about Israel were displayed around the room; Simmons students Israel photo's were on display; Music was provided by Israel Akshav on Simmons Radio.
The program was designed to expose the Simmons community to Israel's culture. "We are so excited to see so many members of the Simmons community celebrating I Fest," said I Fest coordinator and Hillel's Grinspoon Israel Advocacy Intern Juliana Ross, '10. "This is such a great opportunity to bring a taste of Israel to campus. We are thrilled this is such a successful annual event."
