Light the Night; A GLBTQ Hanukkah.

On December 16th, Jconnect's GLBTQ group Kolenu hosted a Hanukkah event called Light the Night.

During the Festival of Lights we remember the importance of standing up for who you are. Each candle we light of the menorah reminds us of the story of the Maccabees and the light inspires us to continue working for justice and equality in the GLBTQ community.

The menorah was lit by eight community leaders who have been influential in our local fight for equality, symbolizing both the miracle of Hanukkah and the idea that great leadership and community action will prevail against oppression.
