More than 450 Jewish college students from schools across NYC marched with Hillel during this year’s Celebrate Israel Parade. The parade brought Jewish students of all backgrounds together through their love and support for Israel. During the annual Israel Parade After-Party at the Jewish Museum hosted by Bridging the Gap, more than 200 Jewish students gathered to continue the celebration.
An Israeli DJ blasted familiar tunes and students played darbuka (goblet drums) and sang with a drum circle. A student MC got everyone in the room moving and interacting with each other. Marching in the parade and the Bridging the Gap after party have become a tradition for NY schools that we look forward to continuing for years to come.
