For the past week, Jews across the country have been reflecting and repenting so that we can be inscribed in the book of life for the next year. And now we’re getting ready for National Voter Registration Day, too. On Tuesday, September 22, communities across the country are celebrating the most basic right of our democracy: the right to vote!
We’ve teamed up this year with our friends at Bend the Arc — by taking action together today we can help make sure thousands of eligible voters are registered.
Join us in calling on our friends, family, and community to register, too. Head to www.vsgoliath.org/action/register/ to register and spread the word.
The 2013 Supreme Court decision to gut the Voting Rights Act of 1965 left the floodgates for voter discrimination wide open, making it even more critical that we help make sure every eligible voter can register to vote. Let’s spread this message far and wide.
Then, make sure you’re registered to vote right now.
This Yom Kippur, may you be inscribed in the book of life and the voter roll.
