Hillel Names Staff Exemplars of Excellence
February 02, 2001Comments (0) | Add | E-mail this to a friend(WASHINGTON, D.C., February 2, 2001) – Hillel: The Foundation for Jewish Campus Life, has named eight staff members from around the world as Exemplars of Excellence. Exemplars of Excellence are nominated by their colleagues for their outstanding contribution to the work of Hillel. The awards were presented at the Schusterman Hillel International Staff Conference in Princeton, N.J.
 The award winners are: Rabbi Lisa Goldstein, executive director of University of California, San Diego Hillel; Andrea Hoffman, director of Hillel of Milwaukee; Eliyahu Bareket, director of Beit Hillel at Hebrew University; Maurice Krikheli, director of Tblisi Hillel in the Former Soviet Union; Joel Lynn, director of Goucher College; Matt Davidson, program director at USC Hillel; Rachel Spiro, interim director of Northwestern University Hillel; and Joseph Kohane, director of Ohio State University Hillel.
"Exemplars are bright and dedicated visionaries, unassuming, open-minded, ready to learn and willing to lend a hand," explains President and International Director Richard M. Joel. "Exemplars model what it means to strive for excellence."
