Raising Funds and Trust

The front steps of Low Memorial Library are probably the most famous location on the Columbia University campus. Students protested the Vietnam War there. At the start of the academic year student groups set up booths there. In nice weather students hang out there.
And this week they raised money for the victims of terrorism.
In the plaza at the base of the stairs, volunteers from two student organizations, Hillel and the Muslim Student Association, usually at opposite sides of the political spectrum, worked side by side.
