Students were drawn to Houston Hall by smells of schwarma and falafel and sounds of the Shabbatones yesterday in honor of Penn's annual Israel Day celebration.
The event, designed to celebrate the culture and vitality of Israel, was held yesterday, despite the snow, in Houston Hall. Much of the Penn community took part in the event, which drew an estimated total crowd of 350 to 450 people, according to organizers.
