GMU Hillel students on their way to the food bank. The Jewish Student Association (JSA) of George Mason University conducted a High Holiday food drive from Rosh Hashana to Yom Kippur. Under the leadership of Gayle Segall, JSA Tzedek Chair, grocery bags were handed out at Rosh Hashana services and participants were asked to bring back the bags filled with non perishable food goods Yom Kippur services. The students collected over 30 bags of canned food and other goods. All the food collected is being donated to Food for Others, a food bank in Fairfax County, Virginia. The donation was especially needed as a call was put out after hurricane Isabelle for new donations
as much of the supplies from the food bank were depleted.
