Franklin & Marshall Hillel students can now enjoy the newly renovated Hillel kosher kitchen. The kitchen, now the Levin Kosher Kitchen, was dedicated in a ceremony on October 26 during the college's Alumni Weekend.
The kitchen was made possible through the generosity of alumnus Bruce R. Levin '88 and his wife, Dorie, who donated the lead gift.
The kitchen, which had not been updated for over 30 years, now has new cabinets and countertops, dual sinks, two dishwashers, two stovetops, two oven units, microwaves, and cookware.
"One of the goals of the college is to strengthen the campus community so that it becomes a place where individuals of diverse backgrounds can come together in comfortable surroundings. Hillel is one of the campus organizations that helps us maintain a diverse environment at Franklin & Marshall College," said Franklin & Marshall College President John A. Fry at the kitchen's dedication ceremony.
