Over 30 Jewish professionals from Romania, Bulgaria, Georgia and Serbia participated in a Tu B'Shevat Learning Seder using Hillel's Meyerhoff Center for Jewish Learning Seder booklet.

"The program was a great success," said Cara Unowsky, The JDC Ralph Goldman Fellow in Bucharest, Romania. "This was the first Tu B'Shevat Seder for over 25 of the participants."

The program held a Chevruta text study on Fruit Dreams, which consisted of making creative tree movements, holding a large group discussion on the environment, and eating lots of fruits.

With spirits high, one of the professionals from Bulgaria convinced the group to donate money to plant trees in Israel.

Many of the participants expressed an interest in leading Seders in their home communities next year.
