Non-profit executive and former Justice Department official Kinney Zalesne has been named Hillel's new Executive Vice President for the United States. Beginning June 14, 2004, she will have oversight responsibility for the strategy, program, and capacity-building of U.S. Hillels.
A Philadelphia native, Zalesne is a former assistant district attorney for the City of Philadelphia. She also served as a White House fellow with Vice President Al Gore, and as counsel to Attorney General Janet Reno at the U.S. Department of Justice. From 2000-03, she was president and general counsel of College Summit, a national non-profit organization that helps low-income students go to college.
"I am delighted to welcome her to the Hillel team and look forward to her contribution in the years to come," said Hillel President Avraham Infeld.
