On April 6, 2005, Hillel leaders from around the world will gather at New York's elegant Pierre Hotel for a festive tribute to Mr. Bronfman's unparalleled contributions to Hillel's renaissance and his leadership throughout the global Jewish community.
In addition, Hillel has established the Edgar M. Bronfman Global Student Exchange Fund. The fund will provide scholarships to enable Jewish students from around the world to participate in a variety of global exchange opportunities. Hillel invites the community to honor Bronfman's birthday by contributing a multiple of $76 ($75+$1 for good luck) to the Edgar M. Bronfman Global Student Exchange Fund.

The Global Student Exchange Fund was the brainchild of Lynn Schusterman, co-chair of the Hillel International Board of Governors. Board of Governors Co-Chair Michael Steinhardt joined her in making a lead gift toward the $76,000 goal ($75,000 plus $1,000 for good luck).
