Trump executive George Ross, a regular on the hit show 'The Apprentice,' meets students at New Orleans Hillel.By Lila Pinksfeld

The New Orleans Hillel community recently enjoyed a day of activities with George Ross, executive vice president and senior counsel to the Trump Organization, who also happens to be a key judge in the hiring and firing of candidates on the popular reality series "The Apprentice."

The day started out with a power breakfast at New Orleans Hillel for student and community leaders and Hillel board members, where Ross discussed the necessity of business smarts and negotiating skills for today's college student.
From there, Ross moved to Goldring/Woldenberg Hall, where he addressed more than 200 students at a Tulane University campus-wide event co-sponsored by the A.B. Freeman School of Business and other student groups. Mr. Ross shared tips on high-powered negotiations, including an emphatic admonition to "read the fine print!"

A wonderful home hospitality Shabbat dinner at the home of Cathy and Morris Bart ended the day. Among the 50 students in attendance were members of the Tulane Greek community. After Alpha Epsilon Pi fraternity president Brett Hyman led a d'var Torah, Ross shared his thoughts on business ethics and leadership skills.

With all of the knowledge and insight Ross offered, perhaps one day we shall see a New Orleans Hillel alumnus in Donald Trump's boardroom.

Lila Pinksfeld is a development and marketing associate at New Orleans Hillel.
