Grinspoon Intern Brings Passion for Israel to University of Oregon

Last spring, a University of Oregon political science professor asked then-freshman Jonathan Rosenberg to attend one of the professor's classes to answer students' questions about Israel.

Turns out, some of the college kids in that class didn't know Israel is a democracy.

But rather than be discouraged by the students' naivet, Rosenberg was happy to be invited to the class. Being there gave him the opportunity to dispel myths about a country for which he cares deeply and educate those interested in knowing more about it.

Rosenberg, now a 19-year-old sophomore and violinist at UO's School of Music, said, "And I think that was a meaningful experience, teaching students who may not have understood the complexities of Israel."
