The Israel at Heart basketball team came to Queens College last Monday, Nov. 14, bringing with them a passion for basketball and for modern-day Israel.

The team is made up of 12 Israeli university students from different campuses in Israel. The basketball team joined the sports rally in the dining hall cafeteria and was presented as special guests of the campus.

The rally was attended by hundreds of students and supporters. The purpose of the team's visit was to support the various Queens College sports teams and stand together side by side to promote mutual affiliation.

After being introduced by Elit Goldberger, the QC Hillel Israel Fellow, the team's manager, Yinon Rietti, spoke to the crowd and drew applause when he wished the Queens College Knights good luck in their forthcoming match against crosstown rival St. John's University.
