Created for high school and college students, the RJ Insider’s Guide to College provides expert information on how to make the most of the college experience, from choosing the right school to surviving one’s roommates. The issue includes the useful guide to the top 60 public and private schools among Jewish college students. The chart lists information on the number and percentage of Jews on campus, whether there are Jewish fraternities and sororities, the kind of Jewish services on campus and more. Hillel worked closely with the staff of the magazine to produce the issue.
Other features of the magazine include:
Campus Life 008: Highlighting nine “hip” Hillel programs at schools across the country from Campus Superstar, an American Idol-style competition, to Challah for Hunger, a group that bakes and sell challah to benefit charities such as Darfur relief.
Campus Life 013: The Israel on Campus Coalition provides tips on how to “Shape the Israel Climate on Your Campus.”
Admissions 104: A certified educational planner advises students who might not be at the head of the class, how to best approach the admissions process.
Finance 606: A top advisor at the National Association of College Admissions Counselors lays out the steps that should be taken and options that are available when choosing student loans.
