Hillel of Rio Students "Leading Up North" in Israel

Israel, Tzedek, Hillel. Pátria, Ação Social, Instituição Comunitária. Estas palavras podem resumir a incrível experiência de ajudar a reconstruir o norte de Israel. Acordar cedo, vestir muitas roupas por causa do frio, mesmo que soe estranho, foi bastante agradável. Acordar para, literalmente colocar a mão na massa e perceber estar ajudando àqueles que precisam em um local que precisa. Extremamente gratificante terminar um dia de trabalho com a roupa e as mãos sujas, muito cansada e esperar o dia seguinte chegar para começar tudo novamente. Apesar de maravilhoso e importante o programa, espero voltar à Israel por outras causas e não para reconstruir um pós-guerra.
Israel, Tzedek, Hillel. Homeland, Social Work, Communitarian Institution. These words summarize the amazing experience of helping to reconstruct northern Israel. Wake up early and wear many layers of clothes because of the cold. Even if it sounds weird, it was very pleasant. Wake up, literally, to work very hard and then notice I am helping the ones who need, exactly where they need. It is extremely pleasant to end a workday with my clothes and hands dirty, very tired, but always waiting for the next day to come and start all over again. Despite being a wonderful and important program, I hope someday I can come back to Israel for other causes and not for helping after a war.
