Washington, D.C. will be the place and “Good to Great” will be the theme when Hillel professionals convene (December 17-20) at the 2007 International Professional Staff Conference (PSC). Online registration has already begun. The deadline for early-birds is Friday, November 16.
Conference-goers will take part in forums, workshops and Jewish learning sessions that include experts from both in and out of Hillel. There will also be plenty of time for professional networking.
While in town, professionals will be invited to visit Hillel’s headquarters at the Charles and Lynn Schusterman International Center – just one block from the Verizon Center, Chinatown, shopping and eating. There will also be a guided nighttime tour of the national monuments.
This year’s PSC co-chairs, University of Kansas Hillel Executive Director Jay Lewis and UCLA Hillel Associate Director for Jewish Student Life Arlene Miller, are thrilled with the new location.
“There is so much our nation’s capital has to offer,” says Miller. “We are really looking forward to December!”
Hillel professionals are encouraged to nominate their Hillels and their colleagues for special recognition at the event. Hillel Vision & Values Awards and the Richard M. Joel Exemplar of Excellence Awards will be presented at this year’s PSC. The deadline for nominations is November 26, 2007. Complete award information is available online.
Reimbursements are available to Hillels south of North Carolina, west of Pennsylvania and north of Massachusetts* (*note the greater Boston area is also eligible). Subsidy request form and information available online.
