Floyd the camel takes an uptown train from NYU while promoting Taglit-birthright israel: Hillel trips.
Floyd, the Taglit-birthright israel pink camel has returned to campuses across North America working with local Hillel professionals to recruit students for Winter and Spring 2008 Taglit-birthright israel: Hillel trips.
Since registration opened at www.freeisraeltrip.org on Wed. Sept 5, over 3,000 students have signed up.
“We are only a week into registration and compared to this time last year, have already doubled our registration numbers,” said Andrea Hoffman, Hillel’s director of Taglit-birthright israel. “It’s exciting.”
Along with the traditional Explore Israel Campus trips, where students from the same campus travel with one another, Hillel is offering national trips, designed to allow students to travel with their friends from other schools.
Additionally, Hillel is recruiting for Taglit-birthright israel trips over spring breaks in March. Options students can choose from are Outdoor Adventure-Land, Outdoor Adventure-Sea and Arts & Culture, as well as the standard Explore Israel Trip.
As an added bonus, students who register or tell their friends to register by Oct. 1 are automatically entered to win a Nintendo Wii or an iTunes gift card through Hillel’s Wii Rock Israel! Sweepstakes. Each day, five registrants are being selected to win iTunes giftcards while one weekly winner will be selected each week to win one of three Nintendo Wii game consoles.
