Hillel Names New Staff

Hillel welcomes the following new professionals who have begun their work at Hillel’s Charles and Lynn Schusterman International Center in recent months.

Tracy Altman, student leadership development associate, Israel on Campus Coalition. Altman will be leading the ICC’s efforts to administer the ICC Israel Advocacy Grants program and oversee the Grinspoon Israel Advocacy Interns on 40 campuses around the country. She previously was a development associate at the University of Kansas Hillel and the director of Jewish and Israel Education at Herzl Camp in Wisconsin.

Ezra Auerbach, senior applications developer. For the past five years, Auerbach served as an officer in the Israeli Defense Force developing computer simulations and databases. He has a bachelor’s of science from the Jerusalem College of Technology and is the husband of Nili Chernikoff, Hillel’s 2003-2004 Israel Engagement Fellow.

Rachel Gildiner, Innovation and Implementation associate. Prior to Hillel, Gildiner was the individual giving and stewardship coordinator at the Columbia Business School after which she served as assistant director for University Development and Alumni Relations at Columbia University. She holds bachelor’s degrees from Columbia University and the Jewish Theological Seminary.

Carol Harris, Data Technical Services. Harris has come to Hillel from the Parenteral Drug Association with 19 years of information systems, reporting, customer service and training experience. She completed two years at Prince George’s Community College where she majored in accounting.

Victoria Kleger, administrative assistant, Human Resources and the Israel Shaliach Department. Kleger was active in the Alpha Gamma Delta sorority among her other campus activities and experiences and is a Taglit-birthright israel alumna. She graduated from Indiana University in May 2007.

Keren Shefet, direct response associate. She is a 2007 graduate from the University of Pittsburgh where she received a degree in media and professional communications. Before coming to Hillel Shefet completed an internship with Cool Space Locator, a non-profit commercial real estate organization.

Laura Brem Silberman, marketing coordinator. Silberman will be working closely with Hillel’s Communications and IT departments with a focus on Taglit-birthright israel. She received her bachelor’s degree from Brown University in 1999.

Lori Yadin, assistant director, Innovation and Implementation. Prior to Hillel Yadin served as the associate director for B’nai B’rith Perlman Camp in Starlight, Penn. She has a Graduate Certificate from George Washington University and a bachelor’s degree from Prescott College.

Robin Zemble, Soref associate for Emerging Campuses. Zemble comes to Hillel from Western Washington University (a Soref campus) with great experience, including being her campus president, and having worked at B’nai B’rith summer camps. She will be working with the Center for Jewish Experience doing outreach to Soref campuses.
