Hillel of Broward and Palm Beach was honored to receive an 80-year-old Torah from Temple Torah of West Boynton Beach, Fla. in April.

The Hillel is thrilled to use and display this Torah during Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur services. Many of the students at Hillel of Broward and Palm Beach are very excited to be a part of this wonderful experience.

The Torah was given in honor of Abner Levine’s 90th birthday. It was an extremely generous gift from a great community and Hillel is exceptionally grateful and thankful.
 
"As a young Jewish woman there is nothing more important to me than Jewish continuity, this torah that is being passed from a generation to my generation gives me pride," said Briana Schneider, director of operations at Hillel of Broward and Palm Beach.
