Hillel is undertaking an international search for its next President & CEO. The Board of Directors and Search Committee are committed to a wide-ranging and open search process which will consider candidates from a wide variety of backgrounds. Our goal is to find the best possible candidate to lead Hillel as we realize our strategic vision for Jewish college and university students around the world.

Since January, Hillel’s Presidential Search Committee has been working closely with Spencer Stuart Executive Search. Spencer Stuart has been actively recruiting high priority, talented prospects with significant academic, corporate and/or Jewish community leadership experience who meet the requirements of the position description.
To date, Spencer Stuart has identified nearly 325 individuals with varied career backgrounds. Over 200 individuals have been personally contacted as potential candidates for the position of President. Spencer Stuart and members of the Search Committee will continue to meet with candidates to recruit the most outstanding individuals.
We intend to conduct first and second round interviews in May/June with the aim of hiring our new President by Hillel Institute, Hillel’s largest annual student and professional gathering, beginning on July 29th at Washington University in St. Louis. However, the Search Committee is prepared to take as much additional time as needed in order to hire the star quality person we are seeking.
The Search Committee will meet next on May 6th, in conjunction with Hillel’s Board of Directors meeting in North Carolina.
