Real Estate

One of the most valuable assets you might want to give to Hillel is a residence, vacation home, or other property. You can give the property outright, or you can elect to continue living in the property, with an agreement to give it to Hillel after your death. There are several ways to make a real estate gift to Hillel, each with its own benefits:
  • Give the property outright, and receive an income tax deduction equal to the fair market value of the property.
  • Use a gift of real estate to fund a life income arrangement.
  • Give the property to Hillel, but retain the right to continue living there during your lifetime (a retained life estate). You agree to pay the costs of maintaining the property during your lifetime, and receive a substantial charitable tax deduction in the year you make your gift.
As with other planned gifts, a gift of property qualifies you for membership in Hillel's Heritage Society.

Personal Property

Hillel also gladly accepts gift of personal property (such as jewelry, art, or antiques) that it can then readily convert to cash to support its important programs.

Because of a variety of considerations involving gifts of real estate or personal property, we ask that you contact us to discuss your wishes.
