A life insurance policy is an excellent way to make a substantial gift to Hillel at relatively little cost. You can:
- Name Hillel as the full or partial beneficiary of an existing policy, resulting in a estate tax charitable deduction.
- Transfer all or part of an existing policy to Hillel, resulting in an income tax deduction based on the cash value of the policy.
- Establish a new policy, naming Hillel as the owner and beneficiary, and making future premium payments in the form of tax-deductible gifts to Hillel.
As with other planned gifts, a transfer of life insurance qualifies you for membership in Hillel's
Heritage Society.
