General Grant Criteria
All applications must reflect initiatives that exhibit the "Jewish context" criteria as well as at least 3 of the other following general grant criteria, in addition to the individual grant pool criteria. Fully funded applications will meet as many of the general grant criteria as possible

Must Include:
Jewish connections:Components of the project must help students frame their experience (both during the project and beyond) in a way that expresses or reflects Jewish values, culture, community or peoplehood. The project must be an enriching and meaningful Jewish experience for participants and contribute to overall Jewish student life on campus.

Must also include at least 3 of the following:
Community building: Engage target populations of Jewish students not currently active in Jewish student life and facilitate a sense of community.
Partnership: Coordinate or cosponsor with campus and/or community organizations.
Campus contribution: Promote Hillel's role in enriching the entire campus community and/or the world.
Interactive: Involve students as active participants in the experience (e.g. using dialogue, direct action, leadership building, etc.).
Follow-through plan: Describe the plan for the post-initiative follow-through that is designed to enhance Jewish student life in the long-term. Indicate how the initiative is part of the vision and/or strategy for Jewish student life on campus this year. Explain how the initiative will be evaluated.
Replicable: Explicitly illustrate the planning and implementation details of the initiative facilitating its replication on another campus.

Funding will not be offered for:
• Alcohol
• Promotional items
• Retroactive requests
• Alternative break trips
