Contact:grants@hillel.orgAbout MAZON: A Jewish Response to HungerMAZON (Hebrew for food) provides cash grants to a broad spectrum of not-for-profit organizations working to confront the tragedy of hunger. MAZON's dual purpose is to provide for those who are hungry today, as well as help alleviate the poverty that causes hunger. MAZON funds organizations such as food banks and food pantries in inner cities and rural areas; Kosher Meals–on-Wheels programs for homebound elderly; multi-service centers that provide poor, hungry and homeless families with food, shelter and counseling; and state and national organizations that conduct research and education activities and work for public policies that are designed to bring about long-term solutions to hunger.
