The Hillel Darmstaedter Holocaust Education Program
The Holocaust remains one of the singular events in human history. Hillel is working to ensure that today's college students can learn about and commemorate the Holocaust so that the lessons of this period will contribute to a more compassionate society.

Hillel is indebted to the Frank and Claire Darmstaedter Estate through the UJA-Federation of New York for making this program possible.

The resources provided by this program are intended to stimulate innovative programs about the Holocaust to create a greater awareness about this period throughout the campus.
  • Grants for Student Programming - Hillel will provide grants for Hillels to sponsor Holocaust-related programs on their campuses.
  • The Hillel AJPA Darmstaedter Journalism Conference - This three-day program enables college students interested in the fields of journalism and communications to meet with renowned journalists and to explore the ethical issues of journalism and Jewish identity. Participants also explore how the lessons of the Holocaust remain relevant today.
For more information about the Darmstaedter program, contact Aviva Perlman, communications associate.
