About
Founded in September 2003, Hillel at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev has already had a big impact on student campus life, working to bring meaningful programs to the student population.Hillel at Ben Gurion University provides a supportive atmosphere for students to stop by and share their Jewish story. Core programs include some of the following: Singing Songs provides an opportunity for students to express their Jewish stories through voice, music, poetry, and story. Current Events in Israel organizes meetings between students and lecturers, artists, writers, journalists, and politicians for debate, discussion, and lectures on current topics in Israeli life. A Creative Theater serves as an outlet for students who are interested in presenting their works of art, including theater and the fine arts, to a wide student audience. Hillel at Ben Gurion University encourages students to submit their own ideas for new programs as a way of taking ownership of their Jewish identity. In July 2005 the Hillel center at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev moved to nice new premises in a central location on campus (Room 244 in the Student Union). Come visit!
