Hampshire is a small progressive liberal arts college located on a beautiful wooded campus in Western Massachusetts. Founded in 1965, with students entering in 1970, Hampshire features and inter-disciplinary curriculum where students work with faculty to develop an individualized course of study to suit their needs. Hampshire is also part of the “Five Colleges”, a consortium that includes Amherst College, Mt. Holyoke College, Smith College and the University of Massachusetts-Amherst. Hampshire students are able to register for courses and participate in events at any of the five colleges.
