IDC Herzliya was established by Prof. Uriel Reichman twenty years ago as Israel’s first private university. Since then, IDC students have benefited from the combination of theoretical instruction from top academics and practical training from industry leaders that prepares them to successfully integrate into the job market in their field of choice. IDC Herzliya believes in “start-up academia†and students are encouraged to initiate, innovate, invent and create. Many successful start-ups in Israel today were birthed on the IDC campus.
IDC has 6,500 students currently enrolled for undergraduate and graduate degrees of which 1,600 hail from 86 countries around the globe and study at the Raphael Recanati International School. This creates a unique international atmosphere on campus as students enjoy studying in a multi-cultural environment and form lasting personal and professional relationships. Many students choose to make Israel their home after graduation while others become superb ambassadors for the State of Israel in their overseas communities. Some IDC alumni continue on to graduate programs at top universities in Israel and around the world while others work for successful global companies.
This year IDC was ranked the #1 university in student satisfaction for the fourth consecutive year! IDC Herzliya believes in a partnership with their students and is committed to working together towards a promising future.

Hillel IDC is one of 8 Hillel centers in Israel. Hillel Israel seeks to emphasize the relevance of Jewish life to today's Israeli students and young adults, inspiring them to explore their Jewish identity and to feel a sense of belonging to "The Global Jewish People."
Hillel Israel creates encounters with Jews from abroad, exposing Israeli students to Jewish life and tradition outside of Israel. This enables the Israeli student to experience, then teach, about living Judaism in a fresh and exciting way.
Hillel at the Interdisciplinary Center (IDC) Herzliya opened in January 2006, offering Jewish programming and extracurricular activities to the 3000 undergraduate and graduate students studying on campus.
