Birthright Participation Taglit-Birthright Israel offers a free trip to Israel for students who have never been to Israel on a peer-based trip.

Alt Break Participation Alternative Breaks are organized, short-term service projects, often involving travel. Student participants are challenged to understand difficult social issues and to explore questions of Judaism and social responsibility while giving of themselves and their time.

Lewis and Clark offers Jewish social and cultural events including student led Shabbat dinners, Jewish holiday celebrations, and weekly Jewish learning and discussion groups. Because most of the students live on or close to campus campus, student religious life takes place in student dorms, campus facilities, as well as in Portland`s 18 congregations. PSU, Reed and Lewis & Clark do some collaborative events and often combine campus organizing group. The LC Hillel works closely with the LC Chapel which provides rabbinical support and religious support. The LC envirnment is pluralistic, and student lead. Much of the programs center around cultural and holiday observance with a focus on social justice/Tzedek.
