About Montclair State
Montclair State University is a proud small but mighty whose motto is "It's your college, your Jewish experience" Where we strive to provide programs, workshops, and speakers that cater to the specific needs and wants of our member. Who consist of student from reform to orthodox and anything in between. We host bi-weekly Shabbat services in a combination of English and Hebrew. In addition to our weekly meetings, we also celebrate all of the major holidays including Rosh-Hashanah, Yom Kippur, Sukkot, Purim, Passover and many others. Although we do not work directly with a temple if students would like to attend services, accommodations could be made available. MSU works closely with the Jewish American Studies faculty, as we host several events with them yearly. Some other events and programs that MSU Hillel hosts are: Adopt a freshmen program, where freshmen and upperclassmen are paired up to ensure that first year students have a smooth tradition. We also host numerous social events including karaoke, bake sales, movie nights, Hillel hang outs, and Dances. If you are interesting in coming to Montclair or learning more about our Hillel, please feel free to email us. We look forward to meeting you and hope you will join our MSU Hillel Family.
