Jewish campus life at SDSU is strong and growing. Â The brand new Melvin Garb Hillel Center opened in April, 2014 and this beautiful, state-of-the-art, LEED Gold Certified facility will provide great space for an active community. Â Students have opportunities to connect almost daily. Whether it`s a BBQ, camping trip, bagels on campus, Wednesday night happenings, Freshman dinners, community service projects, Israel advocacy, B`nai Mitzvah class, Jewish learning, etc, etc., students can find their place. Bi-weekly Shabbat services & dinners and holiday programs bring the community together. Special events such as Alternative Spring Break trips to do community service, annual Mitzvah Day, Yom Haatzmaut celebrations on campus and Taglit-Birthright Israel trips involve enthusiastic students in this warm and welcoming community.
