United Jewish Communities General Assembly (GA)

Date:
November 11-13, 2007

Location:
Nashville, TN

Registration for the GA is closed.
Please contact GA@hillel.org if you have any questions.

Audience:
Hillel is looking to make a splash at this year’s United Jewish Communities General Assembly (GA) by infusing the event with student activists like you, who will provide participants with a fresh perspective on the issues at hand, as well as on Jewish campus life and the issues impacting the university community.  If you’d like to make an impact on the way our community’s leadership thinks about the issues facing the Jewish people, if you’d like to learn from top leaders in the global Jewish community, and if you’d like to experience tremendous personal growth through meaningful interactions with those leaders – this is the opportunity for you.

Description:
The GA is the single largest gathering of Jewish leadership in the world.  This November, thousands of Jewish leaders from across North America and around the world will converge on Nashville, Tennessee under the banner "One People. One Destiny."  Invited keynoters include House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, and Israeli Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni, as well as community leaders like Academy Award-winning director Ari Sandel ("West Bank Story") and Jonathan Greenblatt of Ethos Water, a company with the mission of bringing clean water to millions around the world. Breakout sessions on key issues affecting the global Jewish community, plenary sessions featuring innovative leaders from a variety of fields, and a spectacular musical program at the Grand Ole Opry promise to make this an event to remember.

Fees:

  • Regular student fee: $150.00 (includes most meals, plus hotel accommodations for two nights)
  • Commuter fee: $100.00 (includes most meals, but not hotel)
  • Generous travel subsidies are available
