Travel Equity Fund has been established to subsidize a portion of travel costs incurred by those Hillels located in distant geographical areas from the conference location.

Within the continental United States, Hillels south of North Carolina, west of Pennsylvania and north of Massachusetts* are eligible (*note the greater Boston area is also eligible).   All Hillels outside of the continental United States are eligible to request travel subsidy.

The amount of the subsidy is based on the cost of airline travel. Subsidies will be made to those individuals whose airline costs exceed $100 and whose tickets were purchased at the lowest possible rates. Each Hillel will be responsible for the first $100 of the ticket price. The Schusterman International Center will reimburse 50% of the balance. (e.g. $400 ticket = $400-$100 = $300/2 = $150 reimbursement). Those purchasing tickets without 21 days advanced notice will be subsidized at the lowest advanced fare rate.

A "Travel Equity Fund" form must be completed to apply for this subsidy. All forms, copies of tickets and receipts must be mailed to the International Center, ATTN: PSC Travel Reimbursement by January 22, 2009. Subsidies will be processed and mailed in late February.
